Guide to anti-corrosion conductive materials
Bi-material EMC seals are an effective solution to the corrosion problems encountered when using
conductive seals in contact with various electrolytic agents, salt spray and other acidic media.
Resistant to water and pressure, our anti-corrosion bi-material seals provide electromagnetic shielding
and optimal sealing of your equipment in a single groove, allowing you to optimize the size of your
equipment while facilitating the machining of your mechanical part.
Our solutions are based on a bi-material seal consisting of a conductive part and an insulating part,
combined into a single seal by means of a co-extrusion principle. By separating the microwave shielding
function from the environmental sealing function, the seal is more resistant to extreme environments,
while the life of a single-material seal would be shorter.
• Dual IP/EMC protection
The advantages of our bi- • Longer life compared to a mono-material seal
material elastomers • Cost-effective solution thanks to simplified
mechanical machining
• Small footprint
Shaping available
Our corrosion-resistant bi-material EMC solutions are available as extruded profiles, molded seals, die-
cut or adhered to your substrate. This process is also applicable to equipment housing covers by direct
vulcanization in our workshops.
